Analog signal breakup and complete black screen?

Hey so I just got a Geprc Vapor D5 analog today, and I am using it with my HDzero BoxPro Goggles. Ive had 2 issues with the video transmission so far.

first, when I was flying during the daytime the signal was pretty good, I flew 600m away at one point and it was crystal clear, then later I flew high above my head and lost video for a full second. Could this be from the VTX overheating? It was 105 degrees outside so pretty hot.

the second issue that evening, I was flying about 20 yards away from me, when the video in my goggles went straight to black screen. No static, no warning at all. Luckily I was only a few feet from the ground, but I cant have that happening in the future obviously

Does anyone know what could be causing these?

(Also, Ive been flying a tinywhoop with these goggles and I havent experienced issues like this)

Is HDZero worth an extra $150 over analog?

I recently got my first fpv setup using a tiny whoop with the HdZero boxpro goggles. So far it’s been fun, the range feels pretty small but I’m hoping a bigger drone with a more powerful vtx will have better range? I’m looking into buying a 5 inch, and I’m probably going with the geprc vapor 5.

I think my options are to buy the analog version for $250 right now, or buy the version with no vtx for $220 then add the hdzero freestyle v2 vtx for $180.

Since I already have hdzero goggles I kind of feel like it makes sense for me to get an hdzero drone, but I’m not sure if it’s worth having my drone be $400 instead of $250. I’m planning to use it for some freestyle and cinematic flight, so I am also wondering how the range compares from a 1.6w vtx with only one antenna on the goggles for analog vs 1w hdzero with 4 antennas?

Thank you!
