Help with two questions about this suit and shirt.
Going to a wedding this weekend as my girlfriend’s plus-one, so I won’t really know anyone there. The dress code is “elevated cocktail / colorful formal,” with lighter colors encouraged since it’s an outdoor wedding in San Diego.
I was originally just going to wear my usual navy suit, but I happened to be browsing Nordstrom Rack and came across this light blue suit jacket and matching pants for about $300 total. Figured it would be a little more fun for this wedding, so I grabbed it along with the peach/coral tie.
I took everything to the in-house tailor at Nordstrom Rack, and he thought the fit was pretty good as-is. He mentioned the sleeves were a little long, but that I could get away with them. Then he looked at what I’d paid and basically said he honestly thought it was good as is but he could make alterations if I really wanted them.
So I’m curious what everyone thinks about the fit. Anything noticeably off that I should consider having altered? Or
Also trying to decide between the white and light blue shirt. I like how crisp the white looks, but there’s something about the light blue that I think works better with the suit and tie.
I’m also considering swapping the lighter brown shoes for dark brown if I go with the blue shirt. Might add a white pocket square too, but that’s about it.
