ever since attempting to fix a problem by updating my AMD (previously set to not update since i run windows and i know those two things dont get along great) i've had the return of an issue i thought had ended.

that problem being that occasionally my entire screen will freeze, seemingly the pc as well (also all 3 keyboard lights flash on for a second for some reason?) and the machine requires a manual power reset.

is this a known problem with a known fix?

I have an additional question for a potential fix in that; what is the easiest way to install AMD's more in-depth control panel? a while back i was walked through an install that included only a partial install, missing out on a lot of the other software including the more detailed control panel that let me do things like throttle how much energy AMD is allowed to use.

my running theory is that this is what previously fixed it...
