IT32 overexposure with ttl
I am using the it32 on my Sony a7r6 with 100mm macro lens. I am getting some strange results when I am taking images outside in decent sunlight with ttl mode.
When flash is straight photos are underexposed, sometimes to the point where it does not even look like I am using a flash. When I angle the flash up to 30 or 45 degree the photos are significantly overexposed.
I am using a bigger diffuser and I understand that the angle changes how the light hits the subject, but why is the ttl not adjusting the flash exposure correctly.
When I am inside with more controlled lighting I see similar behavior, but the amount of under or over exposure is way less.
My first attempt
First attempt at making biltong. The local SA shop here in the Fort Lauderdale, USA area charges $37/lbs so I decided to make my own.
We bought about 6lbs eye of round roast for $7.98/lbs and needed the coriander as we only had ground coriander.
After the initial preparation I had it in the fridge for about 16 hours mainly because I did not feel like getting up at 2am to hang it and had it in the dehydrator for about 48 hours at 85f.
The taste is good and meat is not too dry yet which is how I like it. For the next batch I will grind the coriander and pepper corns a bit more as I feel they are still to big with this batch.
Fireflies
We spent a few days in the Blue Ridge Mountains hiking and took a couple nights for capturing some firefly images.
The was my first time trying and I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
Captured with OM Systems OM-1 | 8-25 f4 pro | Live Composite mode with 5 second exposures running for 8 minutes.
Mt Mitchell, Blue Ridge Mountains.
We arrived at Mt Mitchell in North Carolina, USA and it was covered in clouds. This turned out to be my favorite hike from our trip.
First time rotisserie on Weber 22”
Been using the weber 22” for a few years now and recently bought this attachment for an adjustable high grid which included the rotisserie attachments.
Lemon and herb marinated the chicken and slowly basting and adding spices during the cook.
Wings tips are getting burnt so next will cover with foil and also clear the coals in the center as it was too hot when I put the bird on.
First summer\rainy season with a pool. I noticed algae in my pool after heavy rains we had recently. PH was at 7.8 this morning chlorine looks fine.I increased my swg (ichlor 30) to 60% for a 10k pool, I’ve been running it at 40% during the winter months (South Florida).
My GF took water to test to the local pool store and they advised to add 3 cups of acid and then sold her these packets to add.
I’ve read other threads that with a SWG you should just run the emergency mode for 24 hours instead of using shock or use liquid chlorine instead of the shock. They also mention that algicide is not needed with salt pools.
Should I add these as per their recommendation or just run the SWG’s emergency mode and see if that helps to clear things up?
I’ve also been vacuuming daily and washing the filter afterwards.
