Scenes that include messages from Jeffery Wright's character to agents in the field or from the agents in the field to their handlers show the process of text encryption and then de-encryption into a new message. For instance the CIA handler will say "Exfiltrate the disgraced financier from the little island" and then the message will be scrambled and re-coded and appear on the spy's text app as "Your little sweetheart hit a home run in his t-ball game today!"

Is this software even remotely real? How would it work? The characters also completely trust the system to scramble (and then de-scramble) each message, which also seems unrealistic.
