C2 Speed Test 💪🏻💪🏻

Crazy good speeds on Apple’s C2. This site is located right across the street from Applewood Village in Mississauga. Finally broke 2gig download speeds. Very impressive!

Captured this yesterday around 7pm in Mississauga, very solid download speed but I was super impressed with the upload speed from Telus here. Great stuff 👏🏻👏🏻

5G on Apple Watch

Looks like carriers here are starting to adopt 5G on Apple Watch. I go on nightly walks and this is the first night it’s pinged to 5G. Super cool!

Rogers Satellite

I wanted to jump on here and share my thoughts with Rogers Satellite after using it for the first time this past weekend.

iPhone 17 Pro Max was the device being used.

I was in the Yoho National Park/Emerald Lake area this past weekend in British Columbia/Alberta, and as I was driving down certain roads, I would lose traditional service and connect to satellite basically immediately. I would stay connected to the satellite for about 85% of the time and the other 15% nothing.

I went on the Emerald Lake Loop hike which I was connected to satellite about 90% of the hike. I was able to load X pages, and view the weather all without a problem. I could also send and receive messages on WhatsApp without any issues. Using voice and video calls on WhatsApp was a little tricky, as it would cut in and out. Some areas I could hear the recipient very clearly and they could hear me as well, but in some other areas, it was very choppy and unusable.

When walking through highly dense areas of trees, I would lose all connection to satellite, but when having a direct line of sight to the sky, it would stay connected even through the clouds.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with the experience, I was able to stay connected through messages on WhatsApp and occasionally update my X page without any kind of issues.

I’m very excited to see this service evolve over time, and slowly watch more apps get added to the service.

Great experience overall!
