AE-9 crash or freeze the system when playing sound

Bought the card a couple of day ago and try to install it on my PC and it just doesn't work. I've tried it without and without ACM, with and without 6 pins power cable - the card does turn on and show up on windows but I can't play any audio, if I run any audio file it will just freeze and not play any sound. Leave it long enough and the system wil either crash or the card stop working and the audio play with no sound.

It seems like a driver issue but I've uninstalled and restalled the SB as well as Sound Blaster command 3 times now and keep experiencing the same problem. Also I've tried (with the exact same driver), just popping out the card and put my AE-5 back in and everything works like a charm.

Anyone know what might have caused this issue? Is my card defective or is there any setting on Windows or Bios that I need to adjust to get it to work?

My system is 12700KF on Z690 motherboard (Z690 TUF WIFI Plus DDR4) and 5080 GPU, my ram are DDR4 and run at JDAC speed, the card is plugged into the 16x PCIE slot (run as Gen 3 x4 from directly from the motherboard chipset).

*something in my previous set up might have not been right because I do a full system reinstall, and also use a proper 8 pins cable straight from the PSU (use adapter to power it last time) and not it's actually working

Is there really no way to use AE-9 headphone output without the ACM?

Got a good deal on the card the other day so I finally pulled the plug after so long. I've always wanted this card but just couldn't justify spending on its price tag.

That said, I am barely holding to not just rant on how disappointed I am when I discovered that I have to use the ACM if I want the headphone output. I want AE-9 primarily because I already have AE-5 and want something similar with more connectivity options (primarily just need the Toslink-in slot), I knew that ACM is an option but I didn't realise I literally have to use it if I want to connect both the headphone and speaker for the card.

Is that all there is to it? Do I have to just bite the bullet and content with what I've bought or is there any other way to make this set up work without having to use an external unit?

Looking to update BIOS on Z690 TUG WIFI PLUS D4 any reccomended version?

I've been wanting to update BIOS on my motherboard for a long time but reluctant because other than XMP not working, everything had been perfect and I don't want to roll the dice when I was relying on my PC for work. Now that I have a number of back up system, I want to give it a try again just so that my RAM will work properly.

Was thinking to just go to the latest version of 4505 but heard some comment saying that this version caused issue with video playback or sort. Is there any other version I could try? Don't want to try my luck on different version of firmware if possible

Is there a way to exclude G-Hub from Signal?

Tried the app today and it's just taking control of everything including my logitech peripheral, even I am setting the app not (not sure if I did it correct though). I need G-Hub to function because I use the RGB to identify which macro profile I am using, is there anything I can do to get it to work?

Need some help picking 5080 model

Been looking to upgrade from my 3080 TUF card, I was originally thinking about getting a used 4080/Super at a discount price but kind of think maybe 5080 is the way to go now because of the OC just higher than the base stock some of the OC models may offer.

Anyway I have 3 brand new options that I can have my hands on: Inno3d (not-gaming) OC X3, Zoltac Solid OC and PNY ARGB EPIC-X RGB™ Overclocked Triple Fan, all of them are at similar price. I was drawn more to PNY because they advertised the boosted speed as high as 2775 MHz - which is very high according to Techpowerup data base, even higher than the ROG model that they tested. However is that an indication of performances that I can expect?

I did some resarch based on Techpowerup video and found that there can be as much as 6 percent performance variation between the FE and the very top end AIB model (RoG Astral), and within the same chip, the higher boost clock speed should be faster than the lower clock speed is that the correct assumption?

The Best RTX 5080 - 10 Card Review - ASUS, MSI, Palit, Zotac, Gainward, Colorful, Gigabyte, Galax

Sorry if that sound confusing, I asked because even within Techpowerup own data base, I felt like I was wrong about this assumption because one of the slowest card they review is MSI RTX 5080 SUPRIM SOC which has a higher boosted clock (2745 MHz) than the other cards in in the same video so I am starting to have doubt.

MSI RTX 5080 EXPERT OC Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database

If their database is all rubbish and unreliable, GN run a test on Zoltac Solid OC and it already give me the performance I expected (5 percent over based model), at least it's a better known quantity and honestly kind of look a lot better than PNY (or if they are all RNG, I would rather take Inno 3d and don't have to deal with the stupid skyscrapper cooler).

Only care about the potential performance here, cooling and noise level is out of the equation. I am paying for the better binned and better tuned card, nothing else matter. It's kind of expensive so I am looking for the best card for my money (even just 1 percent better)
