If Starscream had a Starscream:

I think this is an accurate representation of what would happen if the Liozack and Hellbat time traveled to early G1's era.

My dream team is here!

These guys are fun, were they worth the price? Well, you can't put a price on satisfaction. As a fan who loves combiners and military vehicles, Liokaiser was right up my alley.

What Ace Combat songs have a "soldier" vibe to them?

The last and probably most difficult ace style to associate to a song, mainly because it's so vague.

Soldier: A fairly adaptive style. Mixes orchestral elements of knight and rock elements of mercenary, but can also be characterized by electronic songs made to help you lock into the mission and lock onto the target.

Here's also a few songs that I think fit and hopefully can give some ideas on what other songs fit.

Sitting Duck & Farbanti (Ace Combat 4)

Scinfaxi & Hrimfaxi (Ace Combat 5)

Blitz and Gaiuss Tower (Ace Combat X)

And this may be controversial but Blue Skies (Infinity Remix).

I'd be interested in seeing what songs you think fit the soldier vibe, and if yoy haven't already, check out my previous posts on soundtracks for a mercenary and knight.

A little bit of red white and blue before American Independence Day

I like Bicentennial locomotives and there's more where these came from.

What Ace Combat songs made you feel like a knight?

Same deal as the last one where I asked what songs made you feel like a mercenary.

Knight: characterized by a centuries old tradition of honor in combat; the music that reflects this is typically orchestral in nature, an echo of an era long past but you as an ace are trying to revive.

I feel like with the mercenary one, some of the songs will be obvious. But I still wanna hear what the community has to say.

Uhhhh...

I didn't know this was a thing (S1 2019 player, I took a break for 2 years before coming back this year)... I'll never say no to a free legendary tho.

How aircraft skins should be handled in AC8.

Having played Ace Combat Infinity for the first time recently, I like some of the things they did with skins; others not so much. Some of those things carried over to 7. But I still feel like there is definitely room for improvement, so here's my list of things I'd like to see done in regards to aircraft skins.

1, Fully changeable markings: In Infinity and 7, the only thing you can change is the emblem, and you can only apply them to the nose, wings and tail. But there are so mang other things that can and should be open to editing like squadron markings/numbers, air force affiliation, nickname on the cockpit, etc... for example if you have the default skin, you can add squadron numbers and squadron emblem or an air force roundel on the tail while having your air force roundel on the wing and nose while having the UAF/Ustio Air Force affiliation on the body behind the wings.

2, Ace Presets/Loadouts: So say you manage to grind enough to get the Mobius F-4E skin. When you buy the skin you get an additional 2-3 special weapons you can equip the aircraft with, as well as slight modifications to the stats, but not too much that it ends up disrupting the balance, like increasing maneuverability but also decreasing special weapon payload or health. To add onto this, you have the Ace preset of the skin, the Mobius F-4E skin as you remember it (or if you have a squadron like Wardog, you have Blaze's, Edge's, Chopper's, Archer's and Swordsman's), but you can also make a version of it that has modifications previously mentioned, to the skin.

3, Grindable skins/skin packs: this is obvious. But I'm surprised that the only ways we've had to unlock skins was by completing challenges and by buying them with real money. So at the end of 7, we find ourselves with tons of credits but nothing to spend them on. I think adding skins and skin packs you can spend credits on would at least give completionists/collectors something else to work for. And skin packs, like ACZero's Merc/Soldier/Knight, Yuktobania's Aces, Mobius Skin packs, etc...

4, Why not a fully unrestricted, custom livery creator and sharing system (like Forza)? Well this is just my opinion so you're free to disagree with it, but I think that legendary skins like Mobius, Wardog, Phoenix, etc... those should be earned, not created. And if you had a full custom livery creator, you can create those liveries, share 'em and basically give those skins out for free, which just feels wrong to me. There's also the can of worms that is "NSFW skins" which just makes me cringe in agony.

This can be solved by putting restrictions on skins you can get in the sharing system ("This skin uses a base and/or emblems you haven't unlocked yet") and a "block NSFW skins" filter. Making it fully unrestricted though is a big no-no IMO.

This is just my opinion tho. What would you like to see for skins in AC8, comment your thoughts, I'd love to see what you got.
