How well does Sim drifting apply? Self steer is real?

I have been practicing Assetto Corsa on a direct drive wheel for a while now, and before I try a real drift car, I want to know what I'm in for in terms of car handling. Does the steering wheel actually turn on its own in real life with an angle kit, or is the way it happens in the sim just an interpretation of weight transition and G-forces?

I feel like I've got it down at this point, but I want to be prepared just in case I try the real thing and it's completely different! Any pointers are more than appreciated. Also, does anyone know of any good car packs for Assetto Corsa? I currently use the Swarm pack because I heard they feel realistic. Thanks!

Also if this breaks the rule about gaming posts feel free to remove and point me in the right direction :)

Edit: I do have a car that I'm currently turning into a drift car, a E46 330ci, just haven't lowered or added extra angle and welded diff etc yet

Looking for real-world technology that matches this aesthetic, does it exist?

Hi everyone! Please let me know if this isn't the right community for this post (and if so, where I should post it instead, like a radio or vintage tech sub).

I am incredibly interested in technology that matches the aesthetic in this photo. I would love to own devices that look like this but actually function as real, usable pieces of tech (where the buttons, dials, and switches all work).

Does anyone know if things like this actually exist? If so, what is this specific aesthetic or style called?

Any input or recommendations would be absolutely appreciated! Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction. :)

AITA for being upset that my girlfriend (21F) invited a childhood friend to move into her house instead of me (22M)?

My girlfriend (21F) is moving into a house she owns soon. I (22M) desperately want to move in with her because my current home situation is terrible, and the economy/rent in our country makes living alone near impossible.

However, she recently offered a room to an elementary school friend she hasn't seen in person since 2016. They've only texted about 8 times in the last 10 years. This friend also has a bad home life, is in uni, and will supposedly be able to afford rent later, but I'm skeptical.

We’ve been dating for 6 months but have been mutual friends and known eachother consistently for 9 years. We are very happy and committed, so I'm hurt she didn't ask me first.

My girlfriend is incredibly sweet but very naive, and has a history of abusive relationships. I'm terrified of her being taken advantage of, or getting stuck with a nightmare tenant (my parents currently have a drug-addict roommate they can't afford to evict, so I've seen the worst-case scenario).

Am I valid for feeling this way, and how do I bring this up without sounding entirely selfish?

Bluetooth head unit with knobs and buttons?

Hey everyone, I got a 90s luxury car (1998 holden wh caprice LS1 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺) and I really want a double din head unit that matches the cars era. I want something with Bluetooth and android auto but I still want it old enough where it feels kinda tactile with real knobs on it. Not sure if they really made something like this but alpine was my preference for the audio quality, tried to have a look but the ones I found either the whole thing was a screen or it was an older one without any android auto. Not sure if this is really an appropriate post for this sub but any insight on this would be absolutely appreciated, thanks!!!!
