Rhododendron or Mountain Laurel? Grotto Falls trail, Smokie Mtns, TN (parkway, just outside of Gatlinburg).

I was claiming Rhodie, but now I'm being told maybe Mtn Laurel. Time of year, shape, and texture of leaf (waxy, paddle-shape) makes me think Rhodie, but I'm hearing the flowers are too small (even though the blooming bunch is ball-shaped).

Monster in disguise... (orange)

Help me give a word/name to this orange "thing", that helps me not call him a bad name. I know this is just car stuff, but I also know that he gets a kick out of it. Mango is a stinker. 🥭

C2C fluffy "baby" blanket, but I stopped and now IDK what stitch I was using.

I am not a beginner, but I also purposely avoid fluffy/fuzzy yarn like the plague. *HOWEVER*, as I tend to do, I thought, "Let's try it again and see. Maybe it's not that bad."

Hah! Haha haha haha ha ha... just showed myself yet again why I hate working with yarn like this.

Okay, so story: Upcoming friend's daughter's baby shower. Long story short, needed easy, but nice. Wanted unique. Wanted c2c. Came up with this one that I've never done b4 (always did the c2c with the boxes; Idk what is called, don't come at me). Anyway it's increase till the size you want then decrease. Boom. Simple.

Aaaaaanyway, I'm at the decreasing point. I got delayed. I stopped. Then, I got sick, and now it's 2 months later and I can't t'emmener if I used hdc or dc!!!! I do remember that I used a smaller hook than the package calls for. I usually work with cotton (h hook), a nice bamboo, or a super silky "something". I'm not afraid of any yarn tbh. ... oh, ever-present for fluffy/fuzzy shit.

I generally (💯) stear clear of synthetic because of environmental impact. Last pic should be a pic of a giant, hooded shawl that I made of cotton (just so y'all see why I'm having trouble with this dumb @$$%& &%$$#@ yarn.

Can you tell?

Also, does it look like 8 rows of each?

I'm never using fluffy again. Probably a lie but..- NEVER USING THIS YARN AGAIN!!!!

TLDR: Is this hdc or dc? CAN YOU EVEN TELL?
