2019 Odyssey Fuel Pump Issues

My 2019 Honda Odyssey EX-L had a recall for the fuel pump motor back in 2021. I completed the recall work with 12,000 miles on the automobile. In 2026, while on a family vacation in Florida, the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and the van went into neutral, with only 51,000 miles on the odometer.

Long story short, I had limited options and had to take it to the closest Honda dealership in the area. The service writer told me it was the fuel pump and high pressure fuel pump. The dealership said they replaced both of them at a cost of $2,800.

Has anyone else had this issue? I'm hoping more people have this issue and file a report online at NHTSA.gov. If more owners report that a previously recalled safety part is failing a second time, it will trigger the federal government to pressure the automaker into issuing a secondary recall (just like they did with the backup cameras).
