Hidden U-Drive It UI Mod

Hidden U-Drive It UI Mod

The new Hidden U-Drive It UI mod does what it says - it hides all the maxis bloat from the U-Drive It mode. What is it for? Up to you - but I imagine it could be used for the better creation of screenshots and videos using the mode. That's what I'm using it for at least. Enjoy!

Park Overwatch

While I find you're never truly 'finished' with a tile, we're nearly finished with the current phase of development. Will be getting close to a full city reveal soon...

The city of Meritha, capital of the Foxspell colonies

A few people asked me to post an HD render of the city from a previous post (hoping this works and reddit doesn't compress it too much). Made with extensive use of god-mode - I build the city first, then play out the game normally.

It creates a different array of stories as a result as while your defenses are well equipped to deal with normal raids (chest deep water mod makes the bridge a choke point), dealing with drop pods is especially annoying.

I keep a semi-narative diary of the events of this playthrough which I'm planning on posting over time with more close up shots of the features of the city.

The extended colony...

I tend to 'play' Rimworld as a city painter first, then as a colony sim once the city has been built. Here are a few of my recent constructions, all part of the same world controlled by the same faction. None of them are 'complete' but I've realised that they never will be as I tinker with them endlessly.

I use faction manager to load and unload colonies for practicalities so I only ever manage 1 or 2 at a time. I mainly play on Meritha, the largest colony, but will send most of my colonists to Montres Base during heat waves or other harsh conditions. Defenses are usually pretty tight for conventional assaults but we're always weak to drop pod raids. We've definitely had some interesting stories from this playstyle occur and I record them in a sort of 'colony diary' I've been keeping. Maybe I'll post that another time?

Update: as the images aren't showing the 'high res' versions of each colony I'll post them individually over the coming week. You can see the first one here.
