Certo Method + Non-DOT 5+ eCup test Passed!

I had a drug test this past Monday for an aviation job and I was shitting bricks all last week thinking about it. I had smoked a bit of a blunt for graduation weekend about a week and a half before it after not having smoked weed for 5 weeks. Before the break, I smoked probably a gram a day throughout multiple bong rips, solely flower. I should mention that I started peeing faint lines on tests after just 5 weeks, before I smoked the blunt. I wasn't pissing super hot, but my first pees of the day were certainly not showing clean. I did some research on this sub and here's the brew I used that I believe helped me pass:

Cranberry Juice: I would say I drank about two gallons of 100% cranberry concentrate over the span of the week.

Certo method: one packet of pectin on Sunday night before and a 28Oz Gatorade. I cut a small hole in the corner and slurped it out like applesauce. Definitely don't recommend you do it that way. The following morning, around 10AM, maybe two to three hours before I left to pee, I had another packet of the pectin shaken up inside another 28oz Gatorade.

Creatine: I would put two heaping spoonfuls into every glass of water I drank, starting the morning of the Sunday before. I probably had about 20-30g of creatine in the span of 36 hours.

B12: Sunday morning, I took four 500mg Winco brand B12 supplements. Had another four that evening, and another four the following morning.

RedBull: two 16-oz Red Bulls, one drank the night before, one the morning of. It has more B12 in it and really makes you have to pee.

It's hard to say what, if any, of this had a real effect on my results. I think what was most critical in the passing was the creatine, it kept my result from being a negative dilute by upping the creatinine content in my pee. My sample was super clear, which initially stressed me out, but I received nothing but good news, so I guess it didn't really matter. For at-home testing, I used the Exploro 50ng THC strips as well as the Easy @ Home 50ng tests. If I passed using the Exploro, I would swap to the Easy @ home and double-check. I didn't bother with any other ng sensitivity since my test was non-DOT: if it flagged at 50ng, I was going to fail regardless.

Build: 5'9", 200, pretty lean, fairly active with lots of muscle mass. I did not diet or exercise aside from moving furniture for a yard sale the Sunday before my test. Currently on .25ml testosterone a week so perhaps an increased/higher metabolism.

My takeaway: trust the at-home tests. If your line is dark enough that you don't need to turn the light on to see it, you're fine. Test, test, and over-test, but don't stress about it unless the line is very faint. Use your third pee of the day at LEAST, the more you pee, the less THC will be in there.

Hopefully, this can alleviate someone's stress. The sub is full of stories similar to mine, and reading through them helped me work through my pre-test anxiety. Depending on who you are, those 90+ day horror stories aren't law! Just test, test, test!

Applying for ramp with PSA application still pending.

Hi folks, just starting to get into the aviation industry and have been putting in a ton of applications across every entry-level job. I interviewed for a position with Horizon as a Passenger Service agent two weeks ago and my application is still reading “interview process.” I haven’t been TBNT’ed yet!

PDX is having a McGee hiring event tomorrow for PT Ramp Agents and I plan on going and giving it my best effort. My only problem is that application still pending with Horizon, who from my understanding is part of the Alaska parent company group that also owns McGee. Is it a bad move to go and try to get a CJO with McGee if I might have one pending with HZ? I don’t want to ruin my chances with either by jumping the gun. Thanks!
