Can we close N Market St to vehicles?

The city did this during covid. Restaurants could expand into the street. Pedestrians could walk around wherever. No loud assholes revving their Harleys up the street. But eventually things went back to normal.

Didn’t understand why it wasn’t permanent, at least on the weekends or something.

I assume local residents didn’t like it or something

edit: I don’t mean the whole thing. Just a few blocks downtown. Keep the side streets open.

Just rode my girl with new rubbers 👍

Installed the old tire 6 months ago. Already time for a replacement. I ride this bike a lot.

Just bought a balancing trying stand from harbor fright. It works reasonably well if you modify it a bit.

What 6V battery do you use?

My honda still has a 6v system. I could upgrade to 12v, but almost all the 6v electrical components are <1 year old, so feels like a waste. I'm trying to avoid that.

I dislike flooded batteries because they leak sometimes and the acid damages everything. Currently I use this SLA battery. I have a regulator on the bike to prevent overcharging. This setup works reasonably well but obviously isn't made for motorcycles. battery typically lasts around 6 months before it's weak, so what do you guys use?

M4 MBA 32gb 1TB $1,399?

I’m considering a MacBook air M4 32gb 1Tb for $1,399.

I’m still using a MBA M1 8gb 256gb. My workflows use a lot of ram but they’re easy on the CPU. My M1 will use 10gb swap and another few gbs memory compression. I’m not sure if 32gb is overkill though.

I wanted a Pro but with this configuration I’d be approaching $2k. Didn’t seem worth it.

Moon disks?

I’ve had these civic wheels on my yaris for 5 years (shown in image 2-4). I’m tired of them.

If i reinstall my steel wheels and put these moon disks covers on how silly would that look? please share opinions

This car is fun, it looks like a toy. I’m just leaning into that at this point.

Cap and Gown order?

I ordered my cap and gown on 4/20. It still not shipped. At this point I doubt it’ll arrive on time. I contacted customer service but as expected they were not helpful.

Jessica Fitzwater unopposed?

just got my democratic primary ballot. I haven’t done much research yet

But i notice Jessica Fitzwater is running unopposed for county executive. my understanding is that she sold us out to the data centers and was questioning the authenticity of the petition signatures?

am I wrong? I thought someone was opposing her in the primary? Now what?

He still hasn’t put in our exam 2 grades. Absurd

When students ask the professor or the TAs they’ll say something like: “in a few days”, or ”by end of week” or “tonight”.

Still no grades after a month.

This is incredibly frustrating. i understand its a large class but please stop lying to us.

If we don’t get feedback how are we supposed to improve.

vent over

I've been daily riding my only '79 Honda Twinstar. It's not perfect though.

Here's my current list of "needs done eventually"

The carb slide sticks occasionally. A quick throttle blip usually brings it back down. I've tried everything cheap to fix it and concluded the easiest solution is just buying a new Keihin carb.

The wheels need to be trued.

The suspension is shot too. I don't think the fork oil was ever changed. I'm afraid to see whats inside.

Rear drum shoes need replaced soon.

I've replaced every engine seal except one. It leaks, of course.

I thought id share because as much as i love my bike but when you're on a budget there's also something that needs to be done.
