each sunday quitting sounds better and better…
i just need to rant after today!! i am so sick and tired of the way we as employees are treated!!
sundays are our absolute worst days (as i assume they are for the majority of stores)
hours were very minimal today and we were already behind when i came in mid morning.
had to call IT, then a customer calls while i’m talking to IT, so i have to ask IT to hold on while i’m trying to tell this lady we can’t give her a digital rain check and she doesn’t wanna hear it, then sort that out, then back on the phone with IT all while the rest of the team is running around like crazy trying to catch up
then the rest of the afternoon it’s just a game of asking for help on the walkie every so often (and getting denied bc our PICs are annoyinggg) as we get farther and farther behind
a customer even called and asked how late her order was gonna be. embarrassing! luckily she was nice (it was a 4:55 and didn’t get done till 5:50)
this has become a typical day, especially since batching started a few weeks ago. i’m part time and usually only in around the weekends but what i’ve heard from others it’s the same every day. always needing help from PIC or whoever else is available.
multiple times today we had only two ppl, both of us working on flash orders, and then another flash drops. i could almost scream every time i hear that damn flash notification sound from the device. how greedy can corporate get!!?? we’re literally an hour or more behind and they’re allowing flash after flash to get thru. absolutely nonsense and i’m soooo sick of it. but whatcha gonna do.
our manager was off today and i’m the most senior employee so i tend to assume responsibilities when necessary, which yes, i like knowing what’s what and i like having responsibility, but oh my god is it exhausting on a day like today!!!
i remember back in the day having a single order late by five or ten minutes felt like a disaster. nowadays we’re starting orders 30 mins after they’re due and it’s just whatever. while i haven’t checked stats in a while OTT is like 80% half the time
anyway. pls lament in the replies. misery loves company and i love hearing everyone else’s stories
