Hi neighbors! I'm an Eastside dad, and every Friday we'd end up with the same question: what's going on with the kids this weekend? The answer was spread across library calendars, parks departments, farms, churches and random Facebook posts.

So I built Eastside Family Calendar. It pulls family events from more than 140 local calendars across 14 cities, from Bellevue and Redmond to Carnation, North Bend and Renton, and puts them in one place.

A few things it does:

• Each city has its own page, plus a "This weekend" page across the whole Eastside
• Tags for free, indoor/outdoor, toddler-friendly, drop-off and more
• Seasonal pages for fall and Halloween, Christmas, and spring break
• A playground map and a farmers market guide
• Add any event to your calendar in one tap, or subscribe to your city's calendar so new events show up on their own

No ads, no sign-up, no tracking you around. Every event links back to the organizer.

It's brand new, so I'd really love feedback. If something's wrong or your favorite event is missing, there's a suggest link on every page.

STOP SEXUAL VIOLENCE - SEATTLE
Gender Equity Movement is organizing a rally and march as part of Women's March's National Day of Action to Stop Sexual Violence on Thursday, October 8th, 2026.

Throughout the history of the US, for too long women have been abused in every way imaginable. From powerful men who believe they have a right to the lives and dignity of others, to the very systems that are supposed to hold our society together. After the report from Cornell University, after the Epstein files, after the experiences we have had and heard from all of our friends and family, we have been fighting. Now, we will be joining the many other organizations fighting for women around the country for a national day of action.

From the Frat house to the White House, end sexual violence!

Oct. 8th, join us at the Henry M Jackson Federal Building at 6:30pm and take to the streets! Let our voices continue to rise and fight with us!

What to bring with you: Please consider wearing teal colored clothing, teal ribbons, and/or carrying signs saying "I am Jane Doe."

Tech has gotten crazy! I think I saw a 911 drone flying near the downtown park some time ago.

It's been completely reduced to dirt. Trees, bushes, all gone. Why? How does this fit with their supposed 40% tree canopy goal? Those weren't new trees.

Jonathan, due to his disabilities, is unable to return home or reach safety without assistance. He has no cell phone, doesn't know his address or family's phone numbers, how to use public transportation or even how to use money (though he also doesn't have his wallet).
