Stop Sexual Violence: March and Rally 10.08 @6:30pm

Please share everywhere to everyone!!!
STOP SEXUAL VIOLENCE - SEATTLE
Gender Equity Movement is organizing a rally and march as part of Women's March's National Day of Action to Stop Sexual Violence on Thursday, October 8th, 2026.

Throughout the history of the US, for too long women have been abused in every way imaginable. From powerful men who believe they have a right to the lives and dignity of others, to the very systems that are supposed to hold our society together. After the report from Cornell University, after the Epstein files, after the experiences we have had and heard from all of our friends and family, we have been fighting. Now, we will be joining the many other organizations fighting for women around the country for a national day of action.

From the Frat house to the White House, end sexual violence!

Oct. 8th, join us at the Henry M Jackson Federal Building at 6:30pm and take to the streets! Let our voices continue to rise and fight with us!

What to bring with you: Please consider wearing teal colored clothing, teal ribbons, and/or carrying signs saying "I am Jane Doe."

Beach Party Tomorrow!

Hello resistance community! GEM’s beach party is planned for Saturday July 25th! It will be a potluck style event, with hotdogs and condiments provided. Please come enjoy the sun, games, and good company with us, and replenish your energy in preparation for the challenges yet to come.

This is an opportunity to network with local activists and learn how to do more. There is nothing more draining than feeling helpless, so join us to find out how to make a difference.

We will also have a mutual aid donation station (a “take one, leave one” bin). Any useful items are welcome for donating or receiving. Our community is built on mutual solidarity, even in good times with reasonable governance, but especially now. Please give what you can and take what you need.

Time: 3:00-6:00
Location: Golden Gardens tables 7, 8, & 9

Remembering Roe Rally 06/24

Join us for a rally and march at the Seattle Federal Building to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade in support for women's rights, reproductive freedom, and bodily autonomy.

While Washington continues to protect access to reproductive healthcare, millions of women across the country are facing increasing restrictions on abortion care and other essential healthcare services. This anniversary serves as a reminder that the fight for equality and bodily autonomy is far from over. Now is also the time to demand the publication of the Equal Rights Amendment into the Constitution once and for all.

Whether you're a longtime activist or simply concerned about the future of women's rights, your presence matters. As part of the National Handmaid Coalition's nationwide day of action, we are calling for the restoration of reproductive rights across the United States and a renewed commitment to equality under the law.
Bring your signs, banners, friends and your voice.

What: Roe v. Wade Anniversary Rally/March
When: Wednesday, June 24, 2026 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: 915 2nd Ave, Seattle (At the Federal Building)
The speaking program will begin at 6:30 PM, with a march to follow (returning to the federal building) beginning at 7:30 PM. ASL interpretation will be provided.

All are welcome. Let's show lawmakers, visitors, and the public that we will continue fighting for reproductive freedom, equality, and dignity for all.
