No Name Riders MC Mother Chapter is helping the family of missing endangered Autistic, Jonathan Hoang, believed to have been lured & abducted from his Arlington home March 30th 2025. Jonathan was last positively identified after appearing on the security camera footage of at least 3 properties near midnight in the South Juanita, Kirkland neighborhood last June. He has not been positively identified since, though there have been several sightings reported to the police and shared with his family. Jonathan can not return home or reach safety without assistance due to his disability.

No Name Riders MC Mother Chapter is inviting you to join them tomorrow, Sunday September 13th between 8 am and 12 noon at the clubhouse located at 1513 23rd St., Everett for a flyer distribution event. Free breakfast will be provided. All they're asking is that you grab a few flyers and hand them out and/or place them at locations wherever you live, work or ride.

I'm still trying to find my favorite late great-aunt's very fine salsa-type relish that definitely had jalapeno in it but wasn't overly hot that she used to serve with beef roasts. I remember that the ingredients were very finely minced, nothing came across too pronounced (eg "garlicky" or "salty") and it was fresh-tasting. I know there were tomatoes, onions and jalapenos at the very least in it but haven't been able to recreate it at alll and "salsa" recipes just don't seem to be it. She would make it herself, and can several jars of it every year. She was born in NC to parents from Finland and Sweden, then moved to VA then MD as a child and teen but as soon as she was old enough, she immediately went into the Army and traveled the world through WWII and beyond as a nurse in the Army Nurse Corp. So I suppose she could have picked up this recipe anywhere. I remember she'd often pull a fresh jar from her cupboard to serve as a topping for her beef roasts, and I absolutely love it. While I have her peach and apple butter recipes, this is one that's disappeared.

As a pre-teen/teen, I read as many non-fiction books as I could find about every type of mythology, which also led to reading a lot of historical books about these cultures. In the hours I spent at the library, I eventually stumbled upon fantasy and science fiction, then horror, mystery and thrillers. I enjoy a broad range of genres and quite honestly have a huge personal library filled with TBRs & TBRR. I really do enjoy historical fiction and am looking for recommendations for books or series about Vikings and the Norse. I've tried Goodreads, which I really dislike for a variety of reasons, and while I belong to many book/reading-related groups, I rarely see anything on this particular subject. Any recommendations for books and series you've enjoyed on this subject would be really appreciated. Tysm!

I've been crocheting regularly for the past 5 years, primarily making blankets from Hooked On Sunshine, Bonnie Barker, Janie Crow, Helen Shrimpton. I consider myself maybe intermediate because there's so many techniques and types of patterns, like clothing, I've yet to learn.

I decided to give mosaic crochet a go. Others have encouraged me, saying they found it fun and easier than expected after they got past being intimidated. I decided to give this pattern (Gothica by Sixel Designs) a go, since it was a gift request. I honestly like it and find the special stitches easier than expected, but -

I'm only on row 3 of the charts (after the foundation and two starter rows) and I am lost. I feel as though I've lost the layout and there's no way to know for sure since there's not much to see this early into it. So I'm frogging back to Row 1 -- I'm not going to give up! -- and was hoping that those of you who've done or do mosaic often have some tips you've learned that you found to be helpful or invaluable. I'm making a throw for my Mom, who's a bit difficult to make for. While she likes colors such as blues, pinks, reds - she has a "blue room" and "red room" for guests with antiques & linens to match - she also really loves neutrals. She often asks me for a blanket/throw because she frequently has family popping in to stay for a week or so. Her living room is done in browns and neutrals, the flooring is a Spanish mission tile. She loves coffee & loves the warm, cozy, comfy, coffee-house vibe - which is why I'm planning a "cafe latte" throw for her latest "Make me a blanket?" request.

The problem I'm running into is that I can't find a square that fits what I'm imagining: I'd like a 9" - 12" square that's basically a squared off circle. I want it to be textured and not overtly floral. I've gone through ALL of my Shelley Husband, Jan Eaton, Julie Yeager (etc) books and Ravelry - though I wasn't sure what to put in for my search filter except "square". ANY & ALL suggestions would be some welcome. I've been doing this for a week and I'm in such a creative block over it.

Colorway: I'm planning on using Red Heart Bitty Stripes in Moonbeam for the center, a slightly darker neutral shade like Aran/Buff/Cream for the squaring-off portion, a row of Cafe Latte all around each square and joining with a darker brown like Chocolate of Coffee. I'll use Cafe Latte and Chocolate/Coffee for the border.

ETA - I definitely need low-maintenance (or no maintenance!) and am not looking to create a "solid wall". I sort of have about 10 feet of that with the awful privet trees that I loathe

Hi, Everyone. I'm in Western WA, about 30 miles northeast from Seattle. I need to find fast-growing native plants for privacy on one side of my house. The total area is rather long. Currently, there's nothing but a row of maybe six privet trees (?) in the front that are too much for me to maintain and I'll be looking to have removed and replaced. But I also need to extend this "division" between myself and the neighbors on that side both in the front and along the fence in the back. I'm looking for minimal pruning, and something that isn't deciduous at least for the front yard. My home is at the back of a cul-de-sac on a very steep street, and the storm drain is located in front of my driveway. It's a bit of a struggle already for me to keep the drain clear of leaves on rainy days to keep so my garage doesn't flood. The areas get full sun most of the day. Thanks so much for any help!

Hi, Everyone. My Aunt was just diagnosed with leukemia a couple of weeks ago and is going to be undergoing chemo in-hospital for awhile because she's very weak. My mom has asked me to whip up a blanket for her. If you've made a blanket for someone going through chemo, I would really appreciate your recommendation. Thank you so much
