Need help with gap between door frame and wall

Paint was peeling in my bathroom so l sanded it back and have the walls ready to prime and paint. Gonna use zinsser gardz primer as the paint peeled back to the plasterboard in some areas and the paint left seems to be some chalky crap paint.

Problem is this little gap between the door frame and the wall on the left. The gap is 1.5cm wide and 1.5 cm deep. It runs the full length of the door. I can't get anything in to remove the paint and not sure what way to go about fixing this so it looks good. I'm hoping someone here might have a solution.

I'm new to diy but decided to repaint the downstairs toilet - it's only 1.6x1.1 so was hopeful it would be rather straightforward. But I've come up against two issues and I'm not sure the best way to proceed. I've attached photos of the walls - this is after sanding.

Photo 1 - not sure what it is 🙈 but it's sticking out of the wall slightly. I presume I have to patch it but then it will still be raised and visible after I paint (It had looked like a bulge in the wall before I sanded it back and saw this). Any solution to make it not as visible.

Photos 2&3 are above the sink - the paint had come off due to water getting at it I think as it was like that before I started sanding. To me that looks like brick and I don't know if that's normal. I presume patch and re-silicone but I'm worried about the brick showing (if it is brick) as I would have expected it to be plasterboard or something. For context, I live in a terraced house so this wall is shared with the neighbors and their toilet is on the other side.

Again help would be really appreciated as I am starting to feel like this is beyond me.
