Broken handguard retaining plate lever on AKV

Just got a new akv in last last week and was trying to swap the furniture on it. The handguard retaining plate lever was being especially stubborn and I managed to break the lever arm clean off. Anyone replace a retaining plate before? Looks like the fsb would have to come off but those pins seem to be pressed in and I don't have correct tools to remove them.

Replace top handguard rail with cheesegrater style

Recently picked up an akm with the rail style top handguard. Would really prefer swapping it out with the cheesegrater style, but looking at it doesn't seem to be a 1:1 swap. The AK cheesegrater available through PSA is too short and the railed akv doesnt have the the band gas tube/barrel band anyways. After doing a quick disassemble, couldn't even figure out how to get the top handguard off. Suggestions?

Nexus EVO SD: How loud is the action?

Ive had an S1 for a long time with a few upgrades, including a nexus bolt. I have quite a few PCC's and different 9mm cans. Even for a blowback design, the Scorpion is loud when shooting suppressed. Not at the barrel either or FRP from the port really (depending on the can I'm running on it), but more of an ear piercing high pitch tinny tone when the bolt cycles and slams back.

I'm considering getting an SD variant, but I'm curious how loud the action is when running suppressed with the delayed design? What's the tone like?

What's the 30 cal can with the highest back pressure?

I have a 7.5" 300blk RA XCR that has not been cycling very well with any of the cans I've tried on it so far. Based on what I'm seeing there's just not enough back pressure to cycle the bolt, without cranking the AGB up to the point where port pop is louder than the round leaving the barrel. Shooting exclusively S&B 200g subs & AE 220g subs. Tried reaching out to Robinson Armament to get their thoughts on it and they weren't much help. Basically just blamed every can that I used. So it looks like I'm on my own to experiment and try to find one that works decently before I decide to just retire this thing to the wall permanently. My end goal is quiet as possible while reliably cycling. I'm willing to sacrifice gas to the face just to get this thing running reliably quiet.

Here's what I've tried so far and results:

- DD Enticer S - cycles at higher AGB settings with VERY loud port pop.

- Resilient Putnik - low back pressure design, would not cycle at all on any gas setting. Wouldn't even push the bolt back enough to reset the trigger unless AGB was at highest setting, let alone eject and cycle. Sounds amazing though if I ran this thing as a bolt action.

- OCL Hydrogen L - Had the most success with this one. Was able to get it to reliably cycle at lower gas settings (4/8) and sounds decent, but port pop was still pretty bad. Turned AGB down to 1/8 -3/8 and it sounds AMAZING, no port pop but wouldn't eject or cycle.

- Various 9mm cans - just for shits and gigs I tried a bunch of different 9mm cans I have to see if it cycled with any of them, but they all sounded like garbage on it (as expected).

So... Since the best performance has been with a traditional baffled can (Hydrogen L), any suggestions on other HIGH back pressure 30 cal cans I should check out?

Tank overfill

Edit: Final update at bottom of post

I have two 1000g propane tanks (primary and secondary) for our home. They're a gravity style system, with the backup tank being slightly uphill from the primary. They were filled today and the backup was filled to 100% and the primary to 70%. The field supervisor said it wouldn't be an issue because the pressure would be relieved from the backup to the primary. And it'd only be an issue if they both were filled to 100%. 1st Photo is of regulator and primary tank with feed line on left of regulator from backup tank which is out of frame. 2nd photo is of backup tank.

Everytime it's been filled over the last 3 years we've been here, we've never been filled over 80% in either tank and was under the impression you never fill to 100 regardless of the system. So I'm questioning what they're telling me and if it is indeed a problem I want to get them back out here asap to rectify it. Any thoughts from the pros?

- I know the tanks need to be painted, it's on the schedule over the next couple weeks before the weather starts really heating up.

Update: Shut off the overfilled tank and called the propane supplier's emergency line. No answer, left a voicemail. Current temps are in the low 40's, expected low 50's by mid morning. Tanks are located under dense oak canopy, so very cool spot. Will call again first thing in the morning and raise hell. Thanks for heads up everyone!

Update 2: I just got a call back (730am) from the propane company after calling the emergency line last night (10pm) and leaving a message. The lady I spoke with was very apologetic and is sending a different technician out asap to drain the tank to a safe level and inspect the system.

Final update: Senior service tech and regional supervisor showed up this morning around 930. Explained this whole situation was unacceptable and they agreed. The service tech basically confirmed what other folks on here said and that the driver that did the fill is an idiot (he used a few other choice words...). They verified no liquid made it into the system, but as an extra safety precaution they replaced both regulators and installed an extra shutoff valve between the two tanks. They drained the secondary tank down to 80% and transferred some of it to top off my primary (which was underfilled). Obviously no charge for any of it and they're discounting my account for the original fill as an additional courtesy. Reading between the lines, I don't think the driver that messed up this fill will be working there after this.
