I can't suffer another several chapters re-explaining the entire world and magic system. It's book three, I can't have allomancy explained to me again like I'm 4 years old.

How many chapters can I skip before I get back to the actual story? Thanks!

I've had this headset mic for ~4 years now, microphone just died out of nowhere. Have tested everything I can on the hardware side it just seems like the microphone just doesn't work anymore.

Is there anything non obvious or are these things not meant to last more than a couple of years?
