12 Mini Took a Dive
My 12 mini took a dive with me in the pool. It was submerged in my pocket for a good 5 minutes. There is water in the front facing camera and Face ID no longer works. There is also a very bad ghost touch on the screen despite everything else functioning normally.
My phone is currently in a bag of rice and silica gel packets sitting on the dash of my car in the sun.
Hopefully it drys out and is okay. 😭

Will this kill the Neo?
Will the new $700 price point kill the MacBook Neo as a budget segment laptop? I think the $100 of wiggle room will let PC makers actually get some serious competition going in the November release window based on the designs Linus was impressed with after Computex a few weeks ago.

Happy 2000 Battery Cycles
I check my battery every so often, and we finally hit 2k cycles! 🎉🎉
I’m impressed that the battery hasn’t degraded at all in the past 6 months and 200+ cycles. Hopefully it’s leveled out!

Bought a house and the solar is buggy.
On April 20th something tripped the breakers in my Enphase box outside. I reset the breakers buts since then a whole side of my house is not reporting. Is there a reset process for the micro inverters or do I need to save up the money to have a company come out?

I have a 2024 FWD, I came across a good deal on H&R lowering springs for a 4WD model.
Looking at H&Rs website they are different part numbers (28755-3 for the 4WD VS 28755-5 for the FWD).
Is there a significant different in the shape of the springs or the spring rate or would I be fine running 4WD springs on a FWD Tiguan?

Hi all! I know that dry erase markers are inherently consumable, and thus not truly BIFL, but they are still running out far faster than what I’d like.
I am a high school math teacher, and I hate my smart board, so all of the writing I do on the board is with old-fashioned dry erase markers. Expo brand has been my go to, but these days they get streaky after only a few days, and completely dead in about a week and a half. Every now and then I get a miracle marker that lasts a full month.
I remember those classic Expo markers that wrote like a champ till the last second and stank to high heaven (if I’m honest I miss the smell, sue me), is there a modern equivalent to these? Odor preferred but not required.
