How to make midgame questing less boring?

So I've played with a few different wizards, but I've never gotten past Arc Two on any of them. I feel like I just hit a brick wall getting through some of those worlds. I will admit it is partially because by this point I am running all meta gear and decks, with blades and 7-pip AOEs as essentially the only spells in my deck at this point. I have so far beaten Arc One with Myth, Life, Fire, and Balance. Any tips, or is the game past Arc One just not for me anymore? Is there a point where the combat gets more interesting?

Each civ should have their own unique unit death sounds

Death sounds are like 50% of what you are listening to when you play the game. Chinese got their own unique death sounds for pretty much every unit when they released, and so did Aztecs. I am honestly quite surprised the Japanese did not also get these, considering many units have their own unique other sounds (like Samurai's attack sound or Shinobi's pain sound), yet no death sounds for any of them.

So why not have each civ have their own death sounds? I know it's not necessarily an important or even necessary thing, but I think it'd be a fun addition.
