Hi everyone, I'm starting a Computer Science degree this year and need a laptop for coding, IDEs, and general uni work. My budget is around 150,000 PKR, and I'm open to used or new.

My friend recently bought a used Dell Precision 5550 (i7 10th gen, 4GB Quadro graphics) for 150k. Is this a good choice for CS, or would something else serve me better at this budget?

Are pull ups compulsory when u're onto callisthenics workout?

I want to loose weight, be able to carry my own weight, perform callisthenics stunts (not to look cool honestly but i think they're actually good if u want control)

N for callisthenics, one of the exercises i see the most is "pull ups" n i recently thought to buy a pull up bar but i want to make sure if pull ups are actually going to help me or i can do some alternatives

I gave two attempts of the NET but couldn't even score 100. I also gave two attempts of the NTS (it could have been four, but because of their terrible management, they assigned me the wrong test centres twice). I recently applied for AIR University and scored 55% 🥲

I got 68% in my first year, and I believe I can get at least 80%+ in my second year.

I'm 18 right now and will turn 19 in 16 days. I know exactly where I lack, and I genuinely believe that taking a gap year could be very helpful for me. But the thing that hurts me the most is the amount of money I wasted, knowing that I probably won't make it this year and should work hard. I feel like I disappointed my parents and broke their hopes. I also feel like I wasted my time. Although, to be fair, I did study. It's not like I was being a total bish. I studied at least 3 hours every day. I know that's not a lot, but it's better than nothing. I even studied throughout the entire day and night during the week before the AIR CBT. I covered all the online material I could find and practiced as much as possible in 1 week. Right now, I'm honestly confused, disappointed, sad, and anxious. I get a lot of negative thoughts...

Some people are telling me to try for NUTECH and Bahria University as well. The problem is that I live 13 hours away from Isb, so I would have to travel all the way there just to appear for the NUTECH test and spend more money. I don't even know whether I should take a gap year or not.

But I want to ask: is it okay for an 18-year-old to take a gap year? I've learned my lessons, and I genuinely believe I won't repeat the mistakes I made this year.
