A moth trap traps a samiamidi.

I put a food moth trap outside the kitchen entrance, to catch them before they get in, because I realized that this is their entrance. And I ended up trapping a samiamidi. I guess it went to eat the moths and got stuck.

But I felt sorry for it and released it. I hope it survives, despite the glue that will be left on its feet.

The transformation of IKEA's cs vardagen

I bought the IKEA vardagen a while ago and haven't used it much. At first I blued it and then gave it a perfect seasoning with sunflower oil in the oven at 240 degrees Celsius. It was very beautiful and I mainly used it for omelets.

Recently I noticed that it lost the seasoning relatively easily and especially once, when I was grilling a pork steak and I had covered it with a lid after the initial sautéing, so that it would cook better without putting it in the oven, a lot of seasoning also came off the sides, where the steak was not touching.

I thought that it was probably because its surface was too shiny and it didn't hold the seasoning. So I decided to transform it and remove the shine.

I filled it with water and poured in a sachet of citric acid (the so-called sour) from the supermarket. I didn't use vinegar because I don't like the smell of it when it heats up, while this is odorless. I turned the stove on medium and left it for half an hour. During this time, it didn't reach boiling temperature, but it did get close to it and I didn't want it to, so that it wouldn't spill on the outside and ruin my seasonings. In half an hour, the seasonings on the inside had completely disappeared and the pan had taken on a gray matte surface. I washed it, rubbed it lightly with a Scott Bright for a more uniform appearance and put the seasoning back in the oven with sunflower oil at 240 degrees Celsius for an hour each time and did 3 cycles. It became very beautiful and matte and reminds me of de buyer pans, only it is thicker. I hope it will keep the seasonings longer now.

I know you'll tell me that seasonings come and go, but I don't like them to go and go into my food.

Then I fried eggs, an omelette, and some chicken wings and they all came out perfectly, without sticking at all. In the first photo are the wings and in the second the pan after washing, which was not difficult for me at all.
