Trip planned to Ireland next year, best way to make connections until then?

Hi everyone ! Sorry if this is a weird question. As the title says I’ll be going to Ireland next year (early October) for a week. And I’d love to make friends so I won’t be so alone while there 🥲 Best way to make connections with people ?

I’m from the US, late 20s

Thank you everyone in advance who comments !

I’m so over weird men

This is obviously my personal experience and the obligatory ‘not all men’ and everyone of every gender has a capacity to be this way.

I’m so sick of men (of all ages) just constantly and always thinking that they can say whatever they want to me. I just want it to stop. I work in a customer service role and it’s something every day. It makes me want to cry sometimes because of the unnecessary and sometimes downright disgusting comments I receive. I can’t even go to a gas station without someone coming up to me and asking for s*ex or saying something about their own privates. It makes me uncomfortable and it makes me feel unsafe. Why do I have to change my life or routine because of them?? I can’t go more than a few days of something happening and I’m just finding it all very frustrating and soul crushing.

I’m sorry if anyone had to deal, or has to deal with this. My heart aches for you.

•Homemade biscuits and gravy. A comfort meal and very easy to make.

Edit: thank you everyone for the compliments on the gravy! When I get home today I’ll put the recipe in the post!

And thank you everyone for sharing their opinions and stories. Much love and care to everyone❤️

EDIT:
How to make!

Tube of jimmy dean breakfast sausage
Cooked in a skillet with 1 tbsp of butter
1/3 cup flour (may need to be adjusted, but make sure there is enough to lighty coat your sausage)
2 cups of whole milk (also can vary)
Black pepper
Cayenne
Garlic powder
Dano's steak seasoning (preem-o seasoning)
Onion powder
MSG

Sauté sausage first with butter, then add flour (more or less depending on how much it takes to lightly coat cooked sausage) using a wooden spoon to make sure everything has a nice coating. Add whole milk and keep stirring. Add in seasoning above for taste. We like it peppery. Once it starts to simmer, let it reduce and it will start to thicken. Add more or less milk for desired thickness. Serve with some flakey butter biscuits and enjoy! Partner came up with and mastered this dish and I love eating it(: hope yall enjoy!!
