I’ve been interested in an MPC Live since the model II came out. Now the III is out and has a sequencer I’m battling with selling my 707 to help fund one. I have a tr-8s too but love the idea of an all in one (semi) portable box. Convince me not to sell up and get one.

AI told me to sell half my gear for a dawless techno setup, does this hold up?
Using Claude to help build a dawless techno rig. Here's what it recommended:
**Keep:** Digitone 2, TR-8S, TB-3, SP-404 MK2 (as end FX + recorder), Mackie Mix 8
**Sell:** MC-707, MC-101, MV-1 Verselab
**Buy:** Used Elektron Analog Heat MKII
Main reasoning, MC-707 overlaps with the Digitone 2, MV-1 doesn't fit techno, Heat adds analog warmth across the whole signal chain before the 404.
I actually use the MC-707 more than the Digitone 2. AI said that's because it's a comfort zone and I should commit to the Digitone 2 instead.
Anyone running a similar dawless techno setup? Does this advice hold up?
