Picky Cats Will Only Eat Blue Buffalo Tastefuls — Need Healthier Wet Food Recommendations

Picky Cats Will Only Eat Blue Buffalo Tastefuls — Need Healthier Wet Food Recommendations

My cats are EXTREMELY picky with wet food and will currently only eat Blue Buffalo Tastefuls Spoonless Singles in chicken or turkey. I’ve been feeding it because at least they’ll eat it, but I’d really like to transition them to something healthier and ideally a little better for weight management.

The problem is they turn their noses up at basically everything else I’ve tried. 😭 They won’t even eat the bigger canned version of the same pate!

For anyone with super picky cats:
What healthier wet foods have your cats actually accepted?
Any brands that are lower calorie / better ingredients but still very palatable?
Any tips for transitioning stubborn cats without them going on a hunger strike?

I’d especially love recommendations from people whose cats ONLY liked pate/chicken/turkey flavors or were similarly obsessed with one specific food.

Thank you!!!

Are there any working pay phones left?

I realized recently that I have never made a call from a pay phone, and I want to use one before they all disappear forever. Does anybody know of any WORKING pay phones either in or near Jacksonville? There was one that was still functional outside of Flamingo in Murray Hill, but it was removed about 4 years ago. Anyone know where I can still find one that works?

Cat drooling for 2 days & diarrhea :(

Hi everyone — I’m looking for advice about my cat because I’m worried. I’ve lost sleep because I’ve been monitoring him overnight.

For about 2 days now he’s had intermittent thin, clear drooling. At first that was the only symptom, and he otherwise seemed completely normal. I also noticed a little white crust around his nostrils.

Now he has diarrhea and a “leaky bottom” where stool seems to leak out a bit. He is still acting completely normal otherwise. He has been playing a ton, eating normally, drinking, and has shown tons of affection.

A few days ago he may have chewed on a peony plant, but I’m not 100% sure.

No vomiting so far.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this still be plant irritation after 2 days, or does this sound more like something else? A vet tech will be here shortly, but I’d appreciate any insight from people who may have gone through this before. Thank you!!!

Leadership… Research…Help!!

Hi everyone! I’m a rising senior in an undergraduate CSD program, and lately I’ve been feeling a lot of pressure because I’m lacking leadership and research experience on my résumé.

I applied for a TA position months ago, hoping it could become a meaningful leadership role for me, but I found out last night that I wasn’t selected. NSSLHA elections have already passed as well, so I’m no longer able to run for a leadership position there.

I’ve also reached out to several researchers at my university, but unfortunately I haven’t received responses to my emails yet. At this point, I’m starting to feel like I’m running out of ideas, so I wanted to ask if anyone has suggestions for realistic leadership or research opportunities that would still be possible at this stage.

Any advice or creative ideas would truly mean a lot. Thank you so much!
