after getting to shadowbringers, i got a bit burnt out from being the hero constantly, so i decided to take a break and make an alt and make her just a townie and not a hero

so far it's been really fun and relaxing! i just really wish you could unlock everything you need to function in the world before being tossed into the hero role. right now i'm at the MSQ where you get recruited by the scions, and i haven't unlocked my chocobo or my retainer yet. i wish those things were unlocked BEFORE you have to join the scions! i don't want my character to be a scion, but i do want a chocobo and a retainer :( also being able to join a grand company before joining the scions would be great.

does anyone else feel this way?

edit: i figured out you can actually get a retainer before accepting the offer to join the scions! so you just cant have a chocobo or join a grand company. i guess i'm running everywhere/renting chocobo porters! lol

when i ask a question in NN, it's meant for mentors or people who are knowledgeable about the question. i hate when random sprouts weigh in with incomplete or just completely wrong info. if you are not sure about something, don't answer! leave it to people who do actually know what they're talking about! it's frustrating and annoying tbh.
