Went from the Omni to the Soji, then ended up back with the Omni

Thought I'd share some Libernovo Omni thoughts since I've had a weird time with chairs.

I ordered the Omni last year when it was still on Kickstarter. It kind of felt like being a beta tester. Shipping took forever and then one day it just showed up at my office.

First sit was honestly great. Sure, that early version had its quirks. The backrest clip kept popping off and the armrest were a bit loose. But I didn't care much at the time because it was just comfortable. The headrest, backrest, and seat all had that softer feel I like.

Then my company got everyone Haworth Sojis. Completely different chair. Firm. Very Firm. People always say firm chairs are better for your posture, so I swallowed the hype. I hauled my Omni back home and stuck with the Soji at my desk. Since I rarely work from home or game, the Omni just sat there collecting dust.

That did not go great. My posture didn't magically improve. It gave me terrible back and thigh pain instead. I kept waiting for my body to adjust, but months passed and I was still miserable. It felt like it was cutting off circulation to my legs, and the lumbar support was practically useless. I started missing the Omni.

So last week I gave up and brought the Omni back to the office. Sitting back down was a total relief. It felt like a giant hug, and I finally remembered what real lumbar support felt like.

So now I feel like both a veteran and a new user. I've really only sat in it for about six months total. After sitting idle at home and getting dragged back and forth, it's still running like a charm. The motor and battery didn't randomly die from sitting unused either, which I was a little worried about.

Just wanted to share my little journey. So happy to be back in the club!

Are red light therapy wands worth trying?

Has anyone here used the nanoleaf red light wand? Did it make any noticeable difference? I'm 46, and lately my skin just feels like it's losing some of its bounce. The lines around my eyes are showing more, and my cheeks and jawline don't feel as firm as they used to. So I've started looking at home devices. Something simple enough to use regularly would be ideal. Also open to other recommendations if there's something similar that worked well.

Best pool robot for my parents

My parents just retired and moved out to a quieter place with a pool in the yard, and they are not really tech people at all, so anything I get them has to be basically plug in and forget. I was thinking of getting them a pool robot so they don't have to deal with leaves, dust, pollen stuff since their place is kinda rural and stuff ends up in the water all the time. Right now I am stuck between beatbot sora 10 and aiper scuba s1. So if anyone has used either of these for older parents or total beginners, which one ends up being less annoying day to day.
