Actually, it's not missing so much as I decided to do a smoother transition between pages 4 and 5 of chapter 4.

For context: Phoenix went for a walk after a fight with Lucifer over the portrait of Lilith on his wall and why she didn't want to sleep with him with his wayward wife staring down at them. She basically walks the entire perimeter of Pentagram City and finds herself in the entertainment district during vox's rally and gets there at exactly the wrong (or maybe the right) time.

This is right before she walks up on his stage and confronts him.

Before she was the public relations specialist for Charlie's hotel, before she spent over four millennia on Earth learning about humans and learning to love them, before she even met the one they called the lightbringer...

Phoenyx, the Firesword of the Ophanim, was a primary defender of the perimeters of Heaven. So specialized are her defensive capabilities that she was not given the power of teleportation granted nearly every other angel. She was meant to stand her ground. She was instead given the power to withstand almost any assault without giving way.

So the day that Lute comes to the hotel seeking vengeance for the death of Adam and intends to bathe in the blood of those she holds responsible, she meets a very determined protector.

Lute's grief-mad rage may be an irresistible force that drives her to destruction.

The Firesword's basic prerogative makes her an immovable object.

Let's see who blinks first.

Sunday doesn't mean that much in Hell, but it's still a valid expression. Lucifer's not exhausted, he just feels...cuddlish. And Phoenyx is happy to be his pillow.

Let's get this clear straight out The gate. Phoenyx doesn't like fighting. She's more of a protector and negotiator than a combat monster. But it must be stated that although she doesn't like violence, she's very good at it. She was, after all, designed to defend the borders of Heaven at her creation. And she is permanently and unwaveringly in love with Lucifer. It doesn't matter that this big purple dinosaur guy can't actually harm the King of Hell. The moment he laid a paw on the guy and threatened to do unpleasant things to him, it flipped Fee's bitch switch. She delivers a clear warning and fax it up with Angelic fire and if this individual is not smart enough to back off, then he'd better pray that Lucifer grabs his paramour and absconds to the hotel before his rump gets roasted.

Lucifer loves this, btw. She always distributes the kisses evenly so that neither cheek gets jealous.

Her name is Phoenyx. She's an Ophanim (hence the four wings). She and Lucifer were best friends in heaven, and she was miserable after he left. Eventually she got cast out of Heaven herself for refusing Adam's advances (she refused him by driving her knee into his nuts). She spent over 4,000 years on Earth getting to know humanity and decided to make her way to hell so that she could tell Lucifer that his gift of Free Will wasn't all bad. She found him alone and isolated after Lilith left him and took Charlie with her. By that time Charlie had been abandoned by her mother as well and Phoenix resolved to help Charlie with her hotel. Somewhere along the way Lucifer and Phoenyx fell in love. (To be honest, Phoenyx had loved him this whole time, but she had never said a word.) Lucifer still struggles with his lingering feelings for Lilith, but somehow when he's with Fee, he doesn't think about Lilith so much.

...that sounded so wrong.

Anyway,, jumping on the "rubber hose animation" bandwagon, here's Fee!

Phoenyx performs one of her favorite Pink songs at a benefit concert for the hotel. During her performance on the Lyra hoop she doesn't use her Angelic powers or even her wings, just her acrobatic skills to dance with the ring high above the crowd. To finish the performance she uses her pyrokinesis to produce petals of soft flame that drift down like cherry blossoms in a spring breeze. When the petals land on the ground, or on the members of the audience, they don't burn. They're not even hot. At the instant of contact with any surface the petals explode into tiny, glittering sparks that rise and fade. By the end of the song people are reaching up their hands to catch at them, laughing with delight as for a moment they hold dancing glitter in their fingers that shimmers before winking out.

Have you ever looked fear in the face "I just don't care"?

Just a picture, no flames, no conflict, just Fee riding the wind and living her best life. in Hell.
