Prolapse and hypertonic pelvic floor

I am currently 10 weeks postpartum from my second baby. After discovering a bulge in my vagina at 5.5 weeks postpartum, the PFPT diagnosed me with a stage 1/2 uterine and bowel prolapse. She also said I have a strong but tight pelvic floor - I am able to contract well but cannot fully relax.

I have been given some stretches to do with breathing and told to do no kegels for the next couple of weeks until I see her again.

I have been doing the stretches and breathing for the last couple of days, but have found I get increased pressure and feelings of discomfort in my vagina and bum afterwards. I can't seem to get comfortable. It almost feels like the relaxation is making symptoms worse...

Has anyone else had a hypertonic pelvic floor as well as prolapse and can share what your recovery looked/looks like?

I'm 7 weeks postpartum and last week began feeling a heaviness/fullness down below. I had a feel and a look and felt/saw a bulging at the entrance of the vagina. A quick Google and I diagnosed myself with some sort of prolapse. Other than heaviness and a fullness feeling which comes and goes and it generally being worse at the end of the day, I don't have any other symptoms.

I was pretty gutted as I've been desperate to get back into running. I had my postpartum GP check up today and after examining me, I was told it does seem that I have a slight prolapse (to me it feels like it's more than a 'slight' one) but that it will likely improve with time and pelvic floor exercises. I had already self-referred myself to pelvic floor physio. The gp also said that there was no reason why I couldn't start running.... This seems to contradict everything I've read online and makes me question how much I should trust the gps advice or diagnosis!?

Just wondering what anyone's experience has been with postpartum prolapse, experience with gps, nhs pelvic floor physio, recovery and getting back into exercise. Am I really OK to start running!?
