Was a fun game of creek chub grabbing in this new to me creek. water was pretty low so it was interesting putting my skills to the test in reading holding positions
My mouse bite this summer has been pretty dry, but the full moon seems to be doing some heavy lifting as I got maybe 10 on the hook but only two in the net :( lost a really big largemouth right at shore too really made me consider my life’s choices
Some say that full moons are best since the light creates a better silhouette, though others claim a new moon makes them more comfortable on the surface. Either way, they sure were open to taking my fly, if only I could hookset better lol.

I’ve only ever carped in small creeks, but I enjoy fishing the concrete jungle sometimes; I’ve been particularly jealous of all the yummy carp photos I’ve been seeing, and want to give my hand at it.
I’ve heard harbors are good, but is there a specific time they will be closest to the surface? I will be sight fishing, so maybe dusk/dawn? Or is it all day.
I’ve heard they hug the wall, are they used to all the people or do you still have to be really careful?
