Target mode has lower target for humidifier

My garden is in target mode, and is aiming for 55%, but for some reason the humidifier schedule is actually targeting 48%. This means that at 51% humidity, my vpd is far too high but the humidifier refuses to turn on.

My only options apparently are to either abandon target mode or, what I did for now, which was set the humidifier’s probe calibration to be artificially lower. I dislike both options. I want to keep target mode so it can factor in my external environment “lung room” which is sometimes unstable.

How can I fix this humidifier target being wildly different from the recipe target? It makes no sense!

Please help with ambler melter

I more or less copied the amber melter from this post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Oxygennotincluded/comments/1lb33tv/simple_and_effective_amber_boiler/

But incorporated a double conveyor bridge. The resin kept flash vaporizing to steam and ruining everything. The steam room is pretty hot right now, at 170C, but it was doing this when it was much colder too, below ST temperatures.

I tried giving it more space too fall away from the metal tiles. I ended up adding a cooling loop, which I'm really not happy about, but it worked. For awhile.

It was working, though way too slowly to keep up with my demands. The vast majority of my resin still came from the plant pulverizer. Eventually though it started vaporizing again. Maybe the steam room is too hot, but I don't really get how it's instantly turning to steam when the amber is heating so slowly. I get that the solid-liquid TC is way higher, but I don't get what's changed that made this break vs. what the OP did, which apparently worked.

Just Barely Super Sustainable

I almost ruined my first Super Sustainable Attempt (and also on my first PPP) on purpose, but I failed. I failed just in time.

I had been trucking along with this salty hydra for the last 40 cycles (This is on 111). At the time, I calculated that it would take at least 111 cycles to get the achievement. The hamster wheels alone had only gotten me 10% of the way, so I figured they wouldn't help much.

That seemed to be cutting it kinda close, with the low sunlight and impending doom, so I gave up on getting the achievement . I built these Peat Generators 26 cycles ago, just 14 after building the hydrogen.

I set them to activate below 30% and I just... never got there.

But, less than a cycle ago, I was running the fresh biodiesel through two refineries in series before making it into Intracosmic Blastshot. (Please note: the mess. These have all been hastily reconfigured many times).

I increased their priority to 8.

I smiled, pleased with myself as all stations were occupied at once. Then, I realized the 3360W-4560W continuous power draw might actually get the Peat burners to finally kick in.
I checked their smart battery. It wasn't green. I looked at my achievement progress - I WAS ONLY 3000KJ AWAY! I paused. I ordered the generators disabled and cut the automation wire.

And I swear, I kid you not, NO LIE the INSTANT I unpaused - that battery turned green.

A couple minutes of intermittent brownouts later -- I got the achievement -
I just wanted to share that because I'm legitimately geeked about it. 😁
