He's like the only dude out there having any fun in the apocalypse. All of human civilization obliterated by nightmarish horrors? Alonso don't care, he's still gonna party. Earth a barren wasteland of endless suffering? Not in THIS toilet, baby. Let me recruit this shining beacon of emotional resilience, I need his positive energy in my base. He will make his accent as stupid as he wants and wear the exact amount of pants that he wants to wear.

No matter how high it is when I start, my focus is always in the gutter after two minutes of crafting anything. I mean that literally, I have stopped crafting after 2-3 minutes several times due to noises etc. and I can observe that my focus has already dropped around 50 points. Is this normal? How am I supposed to learn anything when it drops that quickly? I get that the game wants you to take breaks and stuff, and I do, but surely I can't be expected to do so that often.

There is a fungus tower somewhat close to the refugee center. This displeases me. I wish to make the fungus tower go away. It is Day 2, and I have a riot armor suit, a wood axe, and a baggie of 400 fungicide. What else should I be collecting to further my goal of fungus eradication and how should I implement it?

Please note I am on the stable branch and also I have no idea what all the end-game stuff is y'all are always talking about. I have never faced a fungus tower before. I do not even know how to get fungicide onto fungus. I'm just a punk with a chemical baggie and a dream.

Found a friendly guy in an evac shelter, he asked me to rescue his dog. I traveled halfway across the map to do it and the dog died before I even saw it. Went back to give him the bad news because I thought he deserved to know, and now he won't give me the time of day. I tried, man :(

Found another survivor in a town teeming with monsters, and she had on nothing but a beekeeper suit! I rushed in and killed a bunch of ferals that were surrounding her, then fended off half the town's worth of dead who were attracted by the noise. When the dust settled, I turned to greet her and she screamed at me to put down my weapon. I told her I wasn't going to hurt her, and she turned hostile, ran out into the street and got swarmed and killed by zombie children. Well... at least her honey's good :(

Found a LMOE, totally abandoned, and went around looting the place. In the very last room I was surprised by a feral survivor who had been silent the whole time. He slashed me with a machete and I poked him with my spear. He started to retreat and I let him--maybe he's coming to his senses? But then he ducked into the room with the gun racks and I heard "BLAM." I found his body inside. He'd pulled out a shotgun and iced himself. :(

Found a tiny kitten wandering in the middle of a swamp. I gave it some kibble. It immediately decided it loves me and now it follows me around everywhere in my shelter. 🥲

I guess I'll keep trying!

So there are ten thousand cooking recipes and they all sound great but I sit down to make something and every time I'm like "35 minutes to make a salad of two ingredients?!?" and I become the Joker and just shove raw bacon in my mouth with a gummy vitamin and go to sleep. There are SO many cooking proficiencies and it feels like I'm just wasting my time doing anything but the least possible work to keep myself fed, because the mood buffs are so tiny compared to eating one of the thousands of Toast-Ems I have lying around, and I am the peak of healthiness after taking a few vitamin pills, so why bother?

It makes me feel like I'm missing something because surely those billions of recipes wouldn't be there for no reason, but aside from preserving food to make it last longer I'm just not seeing much benefit from trying to cook. What are your thoughts?

Trying to turn Vehicles skill off since I'm now the greatest racecar driver on the blighted earth. This was recommended in several old videos I watched (to conserve focus), but pressing Enter on the skill does not appear to do anything. Can't find a keybind listed in the ? menu. Is this still possible?

Recruited a guy the game told me was Brave and a Hero because he sounds cool, right? He is pretty cool, but he also has Kaluptic Psychosis or whatever it's called. Can I give him medication for this? Should I give him medication for this? Are NPCs affected by hallucinations? I already knocked over a pharmacy and have some Thorazine but I don't know what the dosage schedule is or if giving it to him will just be a waste.

Even more exciting: I found a kitten 😭 it is so smol and I love it and it lives in the basement of an evac shelter now where NOTHING WILL EVER HURT IT FOREVER. Do I have to feed it or do anything for it or is it just basically a cute little toy for your base? Also, how can I be 100% certain nothing will ever hurt it, this is important, it looks just like my real cat and I will CRY if the Bad Thing happens. I will absolutely cheat to make it immortal if this is possible
