I'm looking to get a Huawei for months now, but I fear EMUI on the global won't get any more updates and will become a pain to have on a daily basis in a couple of years.

Found the way to get my hands on a Mate 80 pro max with HarmonyOs 6, but how reliable is it for a normal user? I don't mind installing stuff and messing with the phones, but how easy is it to use?

Like social media, video streaming, occasional gaming, on G services i do depend for backups, how will those work

Anyone with HarmonyOS 6 outside China who can provide some info and experience?

I come from a Xiaomi 13 with hyperos eu rom, located in Mexico.

I currently own a Xioami 13 CN.

I've been looking into the Mate X7 for some days now as it is on sale so seems a fair price to pay + come with watch and buds.

But I'm not that sure due to lack of Gapps and services, i don't mind android auto, wallet or 5G (speed not my sell point) .

Hows as a daily driver, any feedback? I live in Mexico tho so any opinions from there would be neat.

My main apps are social media, video/music stream and occasionally games, but i do depend a lot on Google service for backups and stuff, I'm aware of the side loading for apk so wont be an issue neither.
