poor man’s combo

poor man’s combo

Decided to made the move to DAPs to listen to flac files instead of just steaming on Spotify. Was on a budget so i got the Hiby R1 as my first DAP, pairing it with an old Sony IER-H500 my dad gave me back then and switched the eartips to a pair of CP100 Spinfits. Even without a pair of solid IEMs, this is already such a huge game changer, doing a lot of justice to the albums and production quality. Curious to know what are some decent IEMs I could consider if i want to upgrade in the near future.

first succesfull bend!

I recently got into circuit bending and started out learning and experimenting with this toy cam, and today I finally succesfully got my first bend! I'm soooo fucking happy, haven't got out home to shoot much yet (too excited to share) but here's some quick snaps from it, love the results so far tho i still have a lot to improve. Looking forward to get my hands on more cams to experiment with!

Shoutout and big thanks to u/theglorioustopsail for being so patient in helping and explaining a lot to a beginner like me in this journey. So grateful for this community.

Need advice bending Sony Cybershot and Nikon Coolpix P60

Got the nikon at a secondhand store for like 10$, it's barely functioning. And the sony is a old family digicam that works, but it's running a lithium ion battery tho. I know it's best to start with toy cams especially for a beginner, i did manage to get one of those toy dino cams online, but it'll take a bit to reach me before i can start doing anything.

Thinking of using the nikon as a practice to discharge the flash capacitor and just understanding how things work on the board since it barely even functions (Power button turns green but nothing else functions, lens comes in and out sometimes, but the screen has been blacked out)

For the sony cybershot, i read up that these slightly newer digicams are packed tightly with tiny surface-mount parts, so they’re easy to permanently kill.

Anyone has any experiences working on these specific cams or similar, and any advice on how I can start experimenting/fiddling with these properly without destroying anything permanently?

mistakes to avoid + good resources for circuit bending newbie

Hi everyone, i’m new to circuit bending and i’m interested to start experimenting with cameras first.

I wanted to ask if there are any beginner mistakes I should avoid when circuit bending cameras. And also if there's any good resources or guides you’d recommend for learning?

I’m planning to start with cheap/budget cameras first since I don’t want to spend too much or accidentally ruin anything expensive while learning. (i'm expecting to definitely screw up the first few times)

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance :)
