What's the "shopping cart test" for starships?
What's something a crew does that requires very little effort and is helpful to other ships, to the point where not doing it makes them an asshole? I think it's properly disposing of waste. You can easily break it down for reuse in replicators or if you don't want to eat your own shit, launch it into a star. Do not just eject it into space where everyone can see it.
Similarly, what about on a species level? I think it's informing Starfleet of any long term colony/ hibernation ships you launched pre-warp so they can go get picked up.
