At first i thought it only happened in traffic, but has now happened while parked. There are no fluctuations/surging in rpms while driving regularly or idling. Initially was thinking something transmission or fueling related but now thinking battery or alternator? Im not a mechanic! Any thoughts?
How was their financing? I can pay cash but wondering if i can get a better deal through payments
Bit of a long one, my 06 gx470 has been stalling on hard braking/low rpms. This only started after the car took a hit (and run) to the rear driverside wheel, both control arms(as well as sway bar and stabilizer link) damaged and since replaced. Old rusty fuel tank straps snapped as well, replaced. Alignment was done, but shop did not do zero point calibration, so I did it myself with a paperclip. My scan tool still brings up code c1290 which is for zpc error. (I have a xtool ip500, but cant figure out how to get to the zero point calibration.)
The only time I've been able to replicate the stalling was by putting it in low and locking the diff, and locking the wheel. But other than that I'll get stalls every time I'm stuck in traffic.
Im trying to start small ($) and work my up, Ive replaced the pcv valve hoping it was a vacuum issue, but the problem persists.
Any ideas?

Crazy how mild the damage seems from the outside. I was about to drive this thing to work too.
Pushed it about 3 ft into the pathfinder in front of it. Alignment is definitely off, drives squirrelly. Tcs lights are on.
Already called police and insurance. But its sunday and I'd like a ballpark. 06 gx470
