Instances of the 'Doctor who?' joke

Was just watching 'The Gunfighters' and got a kick out of the Doctor introducing himself with a fake name, being asked, "Doctor who?' and replying 'Quite right!'

I always enjoyed this joke in the 11th Doctor era, and of course Missy's take on it and the TARDIS team dynamic

I wonder if there's some compilation of all the jokes on the title of the show. Anyway, share your favorite 'Doctor who?' moments plz!

What villain/monster should each Doctor have faced that they didn't (on screen)?

I was thinking about how many were unhappy 15th Doc didn't get any of the classic Dalek-Cybermen-Master trio and wondered about all the other Doctors~ Hit me with your best ideas!

1st Doc: He had lots of chances to face down an intellectual, but I genuinely would've been interested to see what a Master showdown would look like with him. I love him in The Rescue and would be interested in seeing something in that vein but with The Master

2nd Doc: Gimme him and his gang in a Weeping Angels base under siege story! I can already hear his voice saying 'don't move, don't even blink' as they have to get out

3rd Doc: I was interested in the Morax from 13th Doc's era , and with 3rd Doc stuck on Earth for so long, I think it would've been interesting if he had a go at them as well. In any case, the Morax deserve more!

4th Doc: Given a lot of his horror-adjacent episodes, it would be very interesting for me if he had some Silence to contend with. I know they're so close to the narrative of the 11th Doc, but the '70s aesthetic would go so well with them, and I can already see him in this scenario in my mind

5th Doc: Let's pit him against the Minotaur from The God Complex some time after Earthshock, really let him contend with his feelings and relationships with companions

6th Doc: Ooh, how interesting to see him meet the Flesh from the Rebel Flesh/Almost People two-parter. Imagine it: two 6th Docs on screen! What could be better than that? Another way for him to torture Peri

7th Doc: Come on, let's give him his own episode vs the Toymaker!

8th Doc: If we're only talking on screen encounters, I'm personally most interested in seeing him up against the Cybermen. I dunno what it is exactly, maybe I just wanna see his companions suffer on screen

9th Doc: Hear me out. He gets to meet the Silurians, but it's during their reign on Earth before going into hibernation.

10th Doc: While I think it'd be interesting to see him duet with the Rani, I think it would take away too much of his lonely god angst, especially since he gets the Master twice. So I think it'd be neat if he instead got something to do with the Mechonoids. I dunno for him actually.

11th Doc: I'd be into a bit of 11th Doc-Anansi/Loki/etc showdown. Fugitive Doctor met him as we're led to believe, so why not let 11th Doc, the fairytale one, have some shenanigans as well!

12th Doc: Give the Menoptra and Animus/Zarbi another chance! And 12th Doc is the one to bring it all together, I think.

13th Doc: I wanna see her meet Me/Ashildr! Doesn't have to be with Clara, but I think they would have an interesting dynamic, especially if it's Me/Clara and 13/Yaz. Would be great to reinforce better what Jack Harkness was there for.

15th Doc: He would've been so perfect with the Daleks, honestly. His rage should've been directed at them, not some refugee terrorist or white supremacists.

I rewatched once again Buffy and Angel, noting the writer, then giving each episode a rating out of 5 as I went along, and ranking them against each other. I am not up to the task of mixing Buffy AND Angel episodes into one massive ranking, but I did plug them into a spreadsheet cuz I was curious about how it statistically would turn out!

Overall, Angel comes out on top with a total 3.7/5, while Buffy overall has a 3.1/5. Keep in mind that Buffy had to spend more time finding its legs than Angel did, so it's got a lot more 1s and 2s in the early going.

I thought it would be fun to see which writers spoke to me the most. Of course, Whedon is #1 w/ an astounding 4.17/5 and an average episode ranking of #35. Dan Vebber's two episodes (The Zeppo and Lovers Walk) give him a 4/5 and an average #25. Steven S. DeKnight follows at 3.8/5 and average #49, alongside Douglas Petrie's 3.5/5 and average #61 as well as Ty King's two (Passion and Some Assembly Required) giving 3.5/5 and average #50. Sorry none of the more famous familiar faces, but also I couldn't separate co-written episodes to count in each person's favor, but I'm not to bummed out about it, haha.

Most interesting were the differences when comparing the rating/5 VS. the ranking from 1-144 of all the Buffy episodes! Based purely on the rating, I got this lineup:

Season 3 - 3.59
Season 5 - 3.36
Season 6 - 3.31
Season 4 - 3.27
Season 2 - 3.12
Season 7 - 2.81
Season 1 - 2.25

That looks pretty reasonable, and it's really close to how I'd rank the seasons! However, when checking the average ranking of each season's episodes from 1-144, it's quite a different story and really goes to show how much weight STELLAR episodes have!

Season 3 still comes out on top with an average ranking of 55 (but no top 10 episodes!)
- Highest: The Prom #11
- Lowest: Beauty and the Beasts #126
Season 6 here w/ average placement of 64
- Highest: Once More at #1 (sorry it's such an obv top fav)
- Lowest: As You Were #144 (so funny that this season also has my LEAST FAV of the show)
Season 4 w/ 69
- Highest: Restless #3
- Lowest: Where the Wild Things Are #138
Season 5 w/ 70, which surprised me seeing this one go down so much!
- Highest: The Body #2
- Lowest: Into the Woods #139
Season 2 w/ 73
- Highest: Passion #4
- Lowest: Inca Mummy Girl #142
Season 7 w/ a steep drop at 87
- Highest: Convos w/ Dead People #26
- Lowest: The Killer in Me #137
Season 1 at 99 (sorry...)
- Highest: Prophecy Girl #14
- Lowest: Teacher's Pet #143

And FYI Entropy from Season 6 rounds out my top 5 for the show!

Anyway, I just thought that was interesting and someone else might like reading thru it too. Have a nice day!
