Coyote vs. ACME is in theaters August 28. I liked a lot of it; seeing which characters popped up where and the homage to old Looney Tunes shorts. The Samurai and The Prisoner is now playing in select theaters. It's a solid effort from Kiyoshi Kurosawa, but the ending didn't sit right with me. Still worth a watch though.
Fantasia review number four. A man arrested for drunk vandalism secretly knows the locations of where Tokyo will be bombed next. Suzuki=Bakudan is a crazy cat and mouse thriller with stakes that are totally bonkers.

Fantasia Film Festival Review #2. Takashi Shimizu's chilling ghost story with stellar performances. The Mouths is worth seeking out.
Disclosure Day is now playing in theaters. Aliens exist and people talk about it. A lot. For two and a half hours. Wasn't a fan.
I watched A*P*E, a clear ripoff of King Kong from 1976. It's awful, ridiculous, and kind of great all rolled into one. The Kino Lorber Blu-ray is out of print, but it's currently streaming for free on Tubi. Recommended if you like intentional cheese.
Obsession comes to theaters this Friday. The little $1 million horror film has a solid story, but it's also super annoying. Nikki is beyond irritating. That's the point, but ew.
The Last Viking comes to theaters and digital/on-demand on May 29. It's super weird, but turns devastating and surprisingly sentimental in its final act. Worth it for Mads Mikkelsen alone.
