MagSafe adapters

MagSafe adapters

I'm interested in an adapter to use with an iPhone and am leaning toward something that uses MagSafe natively instead of a plate that attaches to the phone, or a dedicated case.

The options I'm aware of so far are:
- on glass - includes a lens cover. MagSafe option is the standard kit plus an adapter
- Magview - the neat selling point here is that the lens cover actually becomes the thing that your phone attaches to
- Mountain Mag - these are made specifically to automatically align with the indexing magnets on iPhones, so seem like the least fiddly. However, they require a dedicated eyepiece adapter for every scope or binoculars, instead of a single adjustable one that fits a range of diameters.

I'm curious if anyone has any experience with these (or any others) and has thoughts.

Must visit stops or hikes along rte 2?

I'll be visiting St Mary's for a bit and then driving the long way to Apgar, since my van is too big for going to the sun road. I'd rather stretch out the drive and take in some of the best spots along the way. What are your favorite can't miss stops? Bonus points if there's a chill place to walk the dogs along the way.

simplest way to create basic 3d shapes without carbide pro

I want to route out a prototype for a shower pan in an RV - it will be an extremely simple shape, basically an offset hole, with all four sides sloped toward it. You could picture the removed material as a very flat, lopsided pyramid.

I don't use my router enough to justify the "pro" subscription, so I'm wondering what's the simplest way to create something like this, without a steep learning curve. I started drawing this in the non-free Carbide Create using lots of incredibly tedious intersection and node manipulation and it seemed like a really bad way to solve the problem.

My initial instinct was to use something like tinkercad or sketchup but it looks like the free version of Carbide Create can't generate toolpaths for them?

Since this is so simple maybe do the grayscale depth thing? Write a Python script to programmatically generate all the vectors for a 2.5 carve using layers? Something else?

We have had several posts over the years describing poor experiences with Project Rebel, and have allowed those posts to stand, for good or bad, to allow buyers to make their own decisions.

Lately, however, employees of this company have been abusing the report system, and registering brand new sock puppet accounts to evade bans and repeatedly report posts critical of their company.

This dishonest behavior leaves us with no choice but to warn our community - this company has shown a willingness to be dishonest in order to manipulate online sentiment.

Buyer beware.
