Back in septermber '25 i remember seeing this car in plain view in the middle of a camp near a main road, we decided to take a look at it but it's pretty much destroyed and it seems like a stupid question to ask.

It was indeed in a farm sitting there for almost 15 years (seen on google maps)

So it sat between farm animals such as pigs and all the type of things.

It's been under the rain and all type of stuff since it was outside all the time.

The "owner" said the engine turns on but one of the turbos doesn't work.

"Owner" because we don't even know the story of this car, which is kind of a mystery, because the guy keeping it said the original "owner" lives in a very far city, up north of the country, while i live in the south.

It has no plates, and no papers apparently, so i have no idea how that car is there and what really happened to it.

It's a very beautiful car, i love the color, but i know for sure, sitting in the open air for decades completely made it unsalvageable, the electronics must be fried, same with the wheels and probably all the chassis, very sad tho.

The car has now been moved from the trees it was sitting under and is now exposed to the direct sunlight, which probably means that at this point the car is meant to become dust in a couple of years.

Such a sad thing to see...

So, it's been some time since i started asking for answers about what was going on with my tv, but since i can't find any help, this is the last time im going to ask for help about this situation.

If i don't get any clear answers that probably means the tv will stay off forever, since i'm not sure if turning it on might cause more problems to it.

So the issue is that, basically after turning it on, after about 20 seconds, a white beam flashes once in the screen, on the lower, right corner. maybe towards the middle. and with it comes a small pop... i don't know if it happens more than once or if it stops once the tv warms up.

But i guess if i'll get no advice, i'll be leaving it off to rot, maybe with something happening that is totally normal, but i just don't know since i know barely anything about crt repairs, so i might call it quit.

Any advice is appreciated.

Chatgpt told me it's basically an elecrtical problem and it's going to work for a couple of weeks before the beam reaches the main board and fries it.

I don't trust ai because sometimes it overreacts on stuff so i just wanted an answer by someone who understands about crt's more than i do...

Should i worry that it might be over?

I have all of these but i was wondering which one of them was the rarest between them.

Remember the crt with them "Big ass speakers"? It's been almost a year, and i start to think it might be over.

It started with the degaussing problem (2nd Photo) which actually "solved itself" and it didn't occur anymore at some point.

In the last months, i noticed that basically 20 seconds on, a white beam flashes for a fraction of a second, and at the same time a small pop occurs, it happens on the lower side of the same spot the "degauss stain" was in the 2nd picture.

I've done some research on chatgpt for some answers, even if i don't trust it too much since it sometimes overreacts or gets too cautious, so i thought i just might post it here and learn about the fate of my beloved first crt...

It basically said it's an "elecrtical lightning". and everytime i turn it on, i'm gambling it's life, if it aims into the vital parts of the tv it could die in an istant, and it basically has weeks of life only. So it's basically "Arching" But the good news is that chatgpt told me a clean might be life saving.

I hope it isn't that bad, since i have no experience at all on repairing crt's and nobody where i live does that kind of work.

Anyone knows what is going on? Is it salvageable? Or is it over? Any tip is accepted...

If it's over... at least i had the possibility of enjoying this gem while it lasted... i had a pretty fun time...
