Little green carrots 🥕

I've been growing these in a 15cm/6" deep plug tray, to get some fat roots. Some of the cells are getting too crowded, so I dug one out. I wanted to give them chance to get some big fat roots, pretty pleased. They all fit together like a 3d jigsaw.

Not sure what to plant them on into, I'm thinking biggish pots with several buttons in each as I'm limited on windowsill area. Any other suggestions or a long trough maybe? Am I too hard on them?

Rooting degrafts.

I posted a while ago, because my green finger was failing me and I was struggling to get degrafts to root.

So the three on the right have been off graft for atleast 2 years and going backwards from being chunky clusters. I had them in free draining soil and they just never bothered rooting. One is starting to show a bit of growth in the ribs

The three on the left came off in spring and 2 of them are starting to strike roots.

Wanted to share as others were also interested in a method that works.

I'm using fiber pots and cutting them down so the button sits high not touching the bottom of the pot. I let them dry to almost dry before watering with like warm water. The pots are great indicator.

I got helpful advice to put them on a heat mat, which I might still get, but I've got them in the hotest spot I can. I intend to just plant them with the pots attached as the one that's winning was starting to nit into the pot when I took the photo.
