Call from Rivian Service
So...I got a call from Rivian Service yesterday advising (via voice mail - I couldn't pickup) that they "have detected a potential issue with the high-voltage distribution system" in my R2, and that I should call back to schedule an inspection to "make sure that everything is working as expected." When I called back the standard 855-Rivian-5 number, the person who answered was confused initially, but after about 10 minutes appeared to have found some notes and scheduled a service appointment for next Wednesday.
It appears that Rivian not only collects telemetry data, but also actively monitors it for issues and reaches out proactively when there's something suspicious. Useful ... and a little creepy at the same time. ;)
Anyone else had a similar experience or a problem with the high-voltage distribution system?
E.T.A.: As others have mentioned, it could be that they are reaching out to the owners of vehicles affected by a manufacturing or some other type of issue based on VIN. Less creepy, but just as useful! I'll ask when I go for my appointment,
