Hey guys, I'm really interested in getting the game, but I'm mainly interested in ship combat. In your opinion, how good is it compared to games like Naval Action or WoSB, Skull and Bones? Should I wait until full release?

Brand New player here, does scuttling my ship mean it'll be destroyed forever? Or will it get repaired on port again, also do other players loot my destroyed ship after?
