Pearl White and blending

Hey everyone,

So my hood is getting repainted due to a warranty issue (bubbling paint), and it is a Kia with the Snow White Pearl colour.

I understand that those are difficult to match and blending is usually recommended.

I spoke with the body shop that the dealer contacted and they told me that there is no line item in the paperwork about blending. This was with the administrator, not the estimator. Would blending always be included in the paperwork or is it an unspoken rule when working with pearl white paint, and won't necessarily show up on the paperwork.

Help ease my mind here, is pearl paint colour differences obvious if not blended? Should I push Kia to cover it, or pay out of pocket to get it done? I honestly have no idea how much it would be out of pocket if Kia says no to blending and this is giving me anxiety (I've been having other issues and many other expenses, and this is just one more that is giving me stress). If it looks terrible without blending, I don't have much choice but to get it done I feel.

The car is a 2022 EV6. The adjacent panels (fenders) are tiny on that car. My appointment is in a few weeks so I won't know the full depth of what is covered and what isn't until I go there unfortunately.

Edit: I was just informed that the panel will be a brand new one, not a repair.

Good PDR candidate?

The dealer dinged my driver's side door in two spots, right next to each other, and very close to the edge.

Is this kind of thing repairable? Does the fact that it's close to the edge complicate things? I worry about access from behind.

What do you guys think? I'm hoping it can look better, I'm not expecting perfection.

BTW that dark green spot is just paint transfer. The paint itself, if it has been broken, is a tiny little spec (I couldn't tell) that can just be touched up.

Also is this a glue pull type of job? I'm curious
