I am locked into Nikon ecosystem, but would like to get a camera that i can carry around everyday and have it ready to take photos. What should I do?

I am seriously locked into Nikon, with a D500 (a massive cow of a camera) and a few huge and heavy lenses.

I'd like to get something more portable that i could take everywhere in my pocket or smthn like that, without spending a million bucks.

What sort of a budget/brands/models should i look at to get a dependable high quality portable camera?

Is it just me or are 3-slot cargo beds mostly redundant?

I've unlocked Chimera, and turns out its yet another oversized truck with 3-slot cargo bed (instead of 4, which would actually be very useful if difficult to fit/implement on the truck itself).

I fail to see any reason to use a no-crane, 3-slot cargo bed. 99% of cargo is 1,2 or 4 slots, and most missions require 1-2 bits of cargo.

The 3-slot doesn't give you much in terms of getting tasks done out of the way faster, for how much of a tradeoff it requires.

Please, change my mind - I'd love to see the utility of Chimera, but it's difficult to do so. Doing Washington right now, and it seems like 90% of the drive is either asphalt or light offroading.
