Where to find imported/novelty candy in Singapore (beyond the 7-Eleven shelf)

Saw a post here a while back about hunting down specific snacks, and it made me think about candy specifically, since Singapore actually has a decent little scene for it if you know where to look. A few spots worth knowing:

Mustafa Centre (Little India) — open 24 hours, a sprawling international grocery section with imported snacks from everywhere, at non-touristy prices. Best late at night when it's quieter.

Don Don Donki — several locations across the island now. The go-to for Japanese candy and snacks, and most branches are open very late.

Candy Empire on Orchard Road — long-running, big range of international candy and chocolate, plus a local-snacks souvenir corner.

The Candy Store at Tanglin Mall — smaller and more curated, leans into the viral TikTok candy stuff, American and UK imports, Swedish sweets (Bubs etc). Good if you want the "have you tried this" novelty stuff rather than a supermarket aisle.

Curious what everyone else's go-to is though, feels like there's always a smaller shop or stall somewhere that doesn't come up unless you already know about it. What am I missing?

Snack/candy spots worth a detour if you're visiting Singapore

If you (or your kids) are the type to hunt down weird or imported snacks wherever you travel, Singapore has more going on than 7-Eleven. A few spots worth knowing about:

Mustafa Centre (Little India) — open 24 hours, a huge international grocery section, good for imported snacks from all over at non-touristy prices. Go late at night if you want to dodge the crowds.

Don Don Donki — the Japanese snack/variety chain, with locations across the island (Orchard, Tanjong Pagar, and others). Great if you're into Japanese candy and drinks, and most branches stay open very late too.

Candy Empire on Orchard Road — a big, long-running confectionery shop with a wide range of international candy and chocolate, plus a section of local-snack souvenirs.

The Candy Store at Tanglin Mall — smaller and more curated, leans into viral TikTok candy, American and UK imports, Swedish sweets, that kind of thing. Worth a quick stop if Tanglin Mall is already on your route (it's right by Botanic Gardens MRT).

None of these are must-see attractions, obviously, but if you've got a sweet tooth or a kid who collects weird snacks, they're an easy add to a day that already has you in those areas.
