I am moving to Melbourne for work in a few months. First time flying to Australia. I own a road bike for about 8 months now and instead of selling it, I plan to just bring it with me. I did some research and found out that in order to bring the bike in without any import fees/taxes, I need to have owned it for at least 12 months and need to have proofs/receipts. How strict is that rule being implemented? I do not have all the receipts for all the parts anymore. Should I just sell the bike? Hoping to hear from y'all!

I will visit Bairnsdale in a few months and was thinking if I should bring my road bike with me. I wanted to ask if there are any inclusive road bike group rides in or around Bairnsdale. Any weekly rides or races? What's the cycling scene? I tried to check Strava and I mostly see gravel/mountain bikes. Was hoping to hear some thoughts from locals. Thanks!
